LONDON. DUBAI. LONDON.
Psychology says you should go with the choice that scares you the most, because that’s the one that’s going to help you grow. For those of you that have followed my journey that started since my first blog post, you’ll know that I was in need of a new challenge, and very excited for my move to the Middle East.
If there is one thing that moving to Dubai has done for me, it’s helped me grow. In ways that I could never imagine. Aside from my anxiety that started around two years ago, I’ve always been seen to be fairly confident, but I’ve had trouble believing in myself at times-whether I’m capable of certain things, and whether I have the courage to take certain steps towards new ventures. But the biggest step I took was to move my life to another country. That was the start I needed, and it’s been amazing.
I’ve now moved back to London, and right at this very moment, I’m sat in the same spot I was sitting at when I wrote my first blog post-and yes, I do have a glass of Red beside me! Whilst I’m writing this, the realisation of self-change, and self-assurance couldn’t be stronger. The concatenation that has come about through this journey is one that has had a compelling effect on my mind, more specifically, on my self-belief.
We’re always learning in life. But I’m finally at a point where I am so in belief that I can do anything-I can achieve anything if I set my mind to it. And I believe in myself! Finally!!!! It only took moving to another country for me to say it out loud and share it! Phew.
So I wanted to share that little nugget of information on my 360 and hopefully inspire at least one of you step out there and do something that you’ve been afraid of doing for a while now! Whether it’s trying something new, applying for a job, asking for help, starting a new venture, reaching out to someone you’ve been afraid to reach out to-even asking someone on a date! Just do it! Life is too short and there’s so much we haven’t seen or experienced to be afraid!
With love… Me x
