Its hard not to exude a certain type of cool when not elevated. I tend to live in heels so its not often you see me in relaxed attire and flat shoes. In fact it takes me longer to put a casual outfit together with the comfort of flat shoes than to throw a pair of heels on and immediately feel my look is ‘done’.
I’ve found myself dressing down out here in Dubai and at times surprise myself at just how relaxed I’ve become. So I thought I’d share before I snap out of it and continue on in my heels.
My transition into the Middle East hasn’t been a walk in the park. I’ve learnt a lot about myself and sometimes had to sit and think hard as to why I’m feeling so lost. After having the last few days to really sit and think I came to this realisation that I’ve actually been shying away from new people, new experiences…new chances! Errr…I dno why its taken me so long to realise the obvious.
Like I mean I’ve been meeting people obviously…but I just haven’t felt inspired. So today, and going forth, my mantra will be that of Banksy:
