Almost two weeks in and 43 degrees later, I’m getting into the swing of Dubai (It doesn’t take me long to adapt here) but I’m not just cocooning myself in to the luxuries that Dubai has finessed oh so well – not just yet, I have plenty of time to soak in the hedonistic lifestyle. For now, I’m embracing a world of possibilities and exploring new territories (even if it’s an accidental find because I’m really just lost).
I’ve even surprised myself in not yet spending a day at the beach. It’s the first time in all of my times here that I have waited so long before enjoying the sand and sea and I’m weirdly pleased I’ve waited. Aside from being thrown into work, it’s given me time to get to know another side of Dubai and take my time settling in. Plus I have it to look forward to now!
First week and we’re hosting a trunk show that started in London, through to Paris, Milan, Munich…stopped in to Dubai and will be on its way again in a short few days to Saudi Arabia. I’ve met an amazing new team and we’ve had some fun whilst styling clients and hosting appointments.
Burberry’s AW16 collection has been presented in the stunning Mall of the Emirates store and boasts exotics and Jacquard dresses with the quintessential british detailing that Burberry is so well-known for, alongside 20 ‘one of a kind’ handbags named the Patchwork bag. The juxtaposition of materials and colour really is something you appreciate in this entire collection and the Patchwork bag is sure to be the bag of the season in the UAE – we have already had 5 of these delightful beauties snapped up.
I’ve also surprised myself in taking quite the liking to Gucci’s new collection, specifically their stunning current season footwear. I’m definitely not a Gucci girl but you never know when that could change…
I’ve added some pics of limited pieces that are available to order. Get in touch if you’re interested and I can arrange an appointment to view the collections!
With love… Me x
